Kyle W. Bickford attended East Muskingum Schools and is a 2003 graduate of John Glenn High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2007. He obtained a Juris Doctorate with high distinction from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 2010.
While at Ohio Northern University, he was the Managing Editor of the Ohio Northern University Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board of Advocates, a member of the Willis Society, a finalist in the Daniel S. Guy Appellate Advocacy Competition, and the recipient of the Ohio Northern University College of Law Summer Scholar Award for 2008.
During his tenure at Ohio Northern University, he worked as a research assistant for Professor Michael W. Lewis in the area of the law of armed conflict. His legal research was included in Professor Lewis’ chapter of the Oxford University Press Publication The War on Terror and the Laws of War: A Military Perspective. In 2013, he participated as counsel alongside Professor Lewis for the Penn State University Dickinson School of Law World on Trial Program which was broadcast on PBS.
Kyle worked as a summer associate for Hanlon, Estadt, McCormick & Schramm in 2009, and subsequently joined the firm as an associate following his graduation from Ohio Northern. He currently resides in Cambridge with his wife Elizabeth.
