Erik A. Schramm, Jr. attended Ohio County Public Schools and is a 2005 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from West Virginia University in 2009 where he graduated Cum Laude and as a University Honors Scholar. He obtained a Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University College of Law in 2012. During law school he was a member of the West Virginia University Moot Court Board where he participated in the 2012 Tulane Mardi Gras National Sports Law Moot Court Competition at Tulane University.
During his undergraduate studies at WVU he was employed in the summer with the Ohio County Schools Maintenance Department and during law school as a Law Clerk at Hanlon, Estadt, McCormick & Schramm Co., LPA. Upon graduation from College he joined Hanlon, Estadt, McCormick & Schramm Co., LPA as an Associate.
In the local community he is on the Board of Family Service of the Upper Ohio Valley, on the Belmont County Public Defender Commission, serves as Bar Counsel for the Belmont County Bar Association and has coached and refereed roller hockey in YMCA programs. He also participates in the Wheeling Recreation Softball League and the Ohio Valley Baseball League for the Wheeling Cardinals.
